anything about me and other stuff
Thanks to the efforts of the team I was mentoring for the Smart Sweep Innovation and Excellence Awards competition, I am now a few thousands richer. Our SWEEP entry, Smart Iwas Baha won second runner up in the recently concluded event held last March 14, 2008 at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall 2. Our team is composed of Paulo Olayres, Dale Dy, Grace Benedicto and yours truly Engr. Rod Coronel (I was complaining the whole time why my event ID didn't have an "Engr." prefix while others did. haha) Also in the photo is the mother of all mentors, Engr. No' Guico.

Inspired by remarks from SWEEP Iwas Baha group during one of our overnight stays in school:
1. Gaano na kayo katagal ng girlfriend mo bago ka pwedeng umutot sa harap nya?
2. Paano kung umutot ang nanliligaw sa iyo?
3. Paano kung umutot ang nililigawan mo?
4-6. repeat 1-3, replace "umutot" with "mangulangot".
Ito pa lang so far ang naiiisip namin. Any more ideas?
it's 4:44 AM and I am sleepless yet again. The carabao (Jun Caguimbal) treated us for dinner, videoke (for 3 hours) and some drinks. He arrived from Singapore this morning and will be spending a week here in the country. Yesterday, I also attended the birthday celebration of my bully student, Bianca Uy, drank a few shots of alcohol (which were already enough to turn me red and heavy-headed) and then worked some hours at school for our sweep entry (only slept about 4 hours). The previous day, we also surveyed the Megamall area late in the morning, around up to 4AM, so I was only able to get 3 hours sleep on that day since I had a class at 7:30. I actually lectured in class not even having the chance to wash my face or brush my teeth because I woke up on the dot. Going back to today, 2 hours from now, I will be making my way to Lipa City, Batangas to attend a wedding. Hope I won't miss my stop, unlike what happened while I was going back home from Jun's treat (The kunduktor had to wake me up, but only after I can't get off in Cubao anymore).
As if to actualize my feeling of weeping today, a pipe in my bathroom burst into tears causing massive flooding inside my room and the adjacent hallway. Although not apparent in the photos, the water was at least 1 inch in height at the lowest area of the room. The broken opening was temporarily covered with a handkerchief.
This happened while I was still on school. Luckily, one of my neighbors knew my cell phone number and texted me. There was no damage on my property but I had to extract the water from the floor for more than an hour and was able to collect 3.5 pails of water. On the bright side, my floor is now very clean.
Out of boredom, curiosity and other reasons, Mando and Rod decide to audition for PBB Season 3. Check out the full body and close up pics we'll be submitting (taken before we left for Batangas).
